Why Do We Do What We Do?

Why Do We Do What We Do?

At JP Pest Services, pest management isn’t just our profession -- it’s our calling. In the communities where we live and work, our focus is on protecting the welfare of our neighbors, their health, prosperity and business. We care deeply about the people in the communities we serve -- a dedication that goes all the way back to our roots as a humble family-owned business that got its start in the heart of the Jazz Age.

A Family Foundation

It all began in 1925, with the founding of the JP Chemical Corporation by Jack Pestana -- yet more proof of the theory that our names influence the paths we choose in life.

Started in Amherst, New Hampshire, JP’s legacy of service would be passed down to his son, Justin, who earned a degree in urban entomology from Purdue University in 1955 and before taking his place at the company’s helm after his father’s passing in 1964.

The torch was passed down yet again to the next generation when Justin’s two boys, Joe and Chris, took over the company their grandfather founded, rebranding it JP Pest Services in 2007 to better communicate the company’s dedication to ethical and sustainable pest management practices.

Now headquartered in Milford, New Hampshire, Joe continues to serve as acting president, with Chris as Vice President of Sales and Marketing. Together they continue the family traditions of hard work, determination and the drive to exceed customer expectations, making sure JP Pest Services remains the most trusted name for professional pest management solutions in New England.

A Lasting Legacy

We continue to earn that trust through our industry-leading training program led by certified and degreed entomologists. Our fully-licensed service professionals continue to learn through ongoing proficiency testing and advancement training programs. All of our team members submit to pre-employment background screens and we are fully insured in all the states we service.

Our community involvement extends to a number of charitable organizations we support, like the Boys & Girls Club of America. We also provide over 6,880 hours per year to employees for charitable involvement. We employ New Englanders in over 50 counties in the region, meaning our employees both live and work in the communities they serve.

As we approach 100 years of service to New England, our mission continues to focus on guaranteed service results, reduced risk material programs, thorough inspections and tailored solutions, all of which are possible thanks to superior support from our local customer care specialists.

We offer year-round pest solutions and timely responses to get you and your residential or commercial property back on track, whether the pest problem you’re dealing with is common or complex -- all using the most innovative pest control methods in the industry.
